BJJ neck pain is not something to be taken lightly.
In this video I cover a stabilization exercise for a neck injury.
Even if you don't have a neck injury this is a great isometric exercise to increase your stabilization and strength, functionality and ultimately performance.
We use our hand pushing into head and our head pushing into the hand.
This creates strong engagement of the neck and "scapulothoracic" region of shoulder.
Neck pain via nerve or muscle irritation should subside by stabilizing this area and posture should increase too, ultimately creating better breathing habits and other positive physiological effects!
