This shoulder mobility exercise helps to relieve tightness in the muscular area where the scapula (shoulder blade) and spine reside.
From BJJ training this area is classically tight, as I often refer to it as "grappling syndrome."
In this BJJ shoulder mobility exercise we take 2 baseballs and put them in a sock. Keeping them on the same side of the spine we put this in the area I spoke of above.
You then move hand from hip to shoulder with thumb pointing upwards, and you're well on your way to relieving some tension in this area!
